VEIU Techs team combines deep and fundamental knowledge on the topics of electric mobility, the energy system, the power grid usage as well as the technical foundation of modern IoT system solutions.
Philippe Degen
Philippe Degen already looked into the subject of electric mobility in his matura thesis before starting his studies in electrical engineering and information technology at ETH Zürich and Imperial College London.
After the studies his first job with Super Computing Systems and Alpiq Gridsense lead to a deep technical engagement with load management systems.
After 4 years of experience in a tech startup he is now ready to initiate the next step for electric mobility on its way to a holistic energy-transport system.
Valentin Wyss
Following his ETH master’s thesis on load control in single-family houses at EKZ Valentin Wyss took over the role as innovation specialist in their Smart Grid Lab. His projects encompassed primary control with battery storage systems, grid control with industrial photovoltaic plant as well as buildings installations for EVs. After taking over a major project in the family business he also wants to develop a modern solution for distributed electric mobility.
Giacomo Pareschi
During his PhD at ETH Zurich in the group for energy systems Giacomo Pareschi analyzed the effects of the different facets of electric mobility on the energy landscape of Switzerland, as well as the possibilities for its integration into its systems.
With his subsequent engagement in the area of transport modeling, he now wants to turn concepts into reality in order to boost the sustainable mobility of tomorrow.
